FAQ

Chatting with members

Whether you're booking a car, or yours has been booked, we encourage all our members to engage in a friendly conversation.

Easily accessible by clicking on the chat icon    in the top of the screen, our built in messaging system is there to help you make a decision before accepting and/or confirming a booking.

Make sure that all the necessary details including the pick-up and drop-off location and times are agreed upon before you confirm.

Setting the right deposit

You've registered on the site, and you're ready to list your car. One important factor to remember is to set your deposit. But how much do you set it to?

The deposit amount is completely up to you, you can set it according to your car's value, or insurance policy fees or penalties. But remember that setting it too high might decrease the chance of bookings.

Dealing with an accident

Accidents happen, and in the unfortunate event of you being in one, it's important to deal with the situation correctly. Whether you're at fault, or the other party is, follow the steps below to deal with it.

Step 1: Remain Calm

Usually after that “Bang“, the first reaction would be to panic. But you must remember to do the opposite. It is absolutely critical that you stay calm and courteous throughout the incident.

My car was in an accident. What do I do?

When sharing your car with the Roadaz community, it works the same as lending your car to your friends or family. Your insurance will pay out in the case of an accident even if it is an unnamed driver on your policy. But depending on your cover, it could pay out less. In most cases, the pay-out would be reduced by RM300. Therefor we recommend that you set minimum deposit of RM400 when listing your car which will cover this reduced pay-out.

How much does it cost?

Listing your car is free, and booking members will contact you via the website to book your car. Once a booking has been accepted, Roadaz will charge the borrower for the full booking period plus a deposit which will cover any excess fees and hold the full amount in escrow until the car is safely returned.

You will be compensated 75% of the set price, and Roadaz will take a 25% commission to cover the running costs of the website. Your percentage will be paid into your account within 10 working days from the end of the booking.

How do I get paid?

When will I receive the payment?
Your payment will be processed at most 10 working days after the end of the booking. After that, it depends on your bank and how long it takes for it to clear in your account.

Can I accept cash upfront?
No, you may never accept cash upfront! If you do, you will have breached the Roadaz Terms & Conditions, and thus your personal insruance will be void.

How do I deal with bookings?

When you receive a booking request, you'll be notified by email and will have a notification on your user dashboard. Clicking the link in the email, or the notification will bring you to your booking summary page from where you can view the booking member's details, chat with the member to finalise the booking details (time and place of pickup & drop off) and finally Accept or Cancel the booking.

Once the booking is Accepted, the booking member has 24 hours to pay and confirm. If they fail to do so, the booking request will automatically expire.
